Thanks for stopping by! I am a 20 year old college student and I love food and cooking. I am no professional by any means, but it is always something I have been passionate about. I mean I think I watched more Food Network than Disney Channel growing up. My family really inspired me to start cooking. My parents normally always cooked dinner when I was growing up and I always watched Food Network with my dad. He also travels a lot for work and tries a lot of crazy food. My mom never cooked as much as my dad did, but believe me she has a few recipes that she LOVES, we will have to feature one of her recipes on here. My aunt also really helps me out with new ideas and cool things, she is very creative and loves to cook as well. Once I got to college I realized that I was going to have to start making meals by myself because I am a pretty picky eater. I don’t like a lot of the quick meals that college kids normally like, such as Ramen Noodles and Easy Mac (sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do though when you are ballin’ on a budget). Once I started cooking almost on a daily basis, I found it super relaxing and fun. A lot of people have asked me if I get burned out and tired of cooking, especially being a college student but I really don’t (other than taking on the wild crowds at Walmart). I think a lot of people my age really don’t like to or know how to cook, which is why I wanted to start this blog to share some recipes. Nothing I cook is ever hard or difficult and I try not to use a lot of ingredients (Like everyone else, I struggle with money and space in a tiny apartment kitchen). I can’t promise that everything will be healthy all of time, but I will try to have an equal amount of healthy and tasty. All of my recipes are boyfriend approved, he is my personal taste tester, and let me tell ya, a man loves a girl who can cook!
I hope you find this helpful and fun, suggestions are always welcome!
